Flute, Viola & Harp concert in Normandie

A concert in Normandy, France, not far from the sea, with harpist Alice Petre and Daniel Rubenstein on viola.
It was a pleasure to perform repertoire for flute, harp and viola again after quite a long time.
Years ago, I often performed arrangements of traditional Japanese songs alongside works by Toru Takemitsu, so this time I also brought out my shinobue to play pieces such as Jōgashima no Ame and Itsuki no Komoriuta.
As Dieppe is only about a 20-minute drive from the concert venue, we took the opportunity to stop by this lovely seaside town afterwards. When I lived in Japan, the sea was always within walking distance from home… so it felt especially good to be by the sea again.
