Have you ever felt like...
"I’m practicing a lot, but I’m just not improving!"
"Practicing feels boring and meaningless..."
If this sounds familiar, you're not alone.
In lessons for teenagers and adults, we first identify the root causes of your problems. Then, we offer clear solutions and effective practice techniques tailored to you.
Without a clear plan, practicing can become aimless and discouraging. You may wonder if you're getting anywhere at all.
But if you tackle issues step by step, everyone can improve — yes, everyone! While the pace may differ from person to person, progress is always possible.
Even if you don’t have hours to practice, that’s okay. With effective practice, even short sessions can bring results. And if you do want to practice for longer, we can create a personalized program to help you do so — musically.
Practicing without purpose is a waste of time. But with just a little knowledge and a few simple tips, practice can become fulfilling and meaningful.
Most people who start learning music do so because they love music. That love is the best fuel for progress.
Let’s enjoy learning together — you’ll find that improvement naturally follows!
【Advanced level】
I also teach advanced level including preparation for conservatoire entrance, interpretation of 20th–21st century repertoire, and extended techniques.
I specialize in contemporary Japanese works (Kazuo Fukushima, Tōru Takemitsu and so on), as well as European composers.
Lessons can include:
• Interpretation of complex rhythms and notation
• Mastering extended techniques (multiphonics, air sounds, pitch bending, etc.)
• Personalized coaching for concerts, competitions or summer academy auditions
I have performed and premiered contemporary works across Europe and Japan, and regularly work with composers.
Here you can find some of my personal tips and exercises for both basic and advanced flute techniques.
This pedagogical guide reflects how I approach tone, articulation, breath control, contemporary techniques, and more.
Whether you're a beginner or an advanced student, these resources give insight into my teaching style and musical philosophy.
